CO₂ Decomposition. Converting Pollutants to Commodity.

An Innovative Pathway to Carbon Removal

Trace Xero’s technology operates under ambient conditions to decompose CO₂ into graphitic carbon, a material with commercial and environmental value. Our approach eliminates the need for CO₂ storage—and instead, transforms the problem into a product.

The Process in 4 Steps

1. Air Intake

Air is drawn using fans, optimized for both DAC and industrial exhaust environments.

2. CO₂ Absorption

Using our proprietary catalytic solvent, CO₂ molecules are absorbed from the air stream without the use of high heat, or compression.

3. Ambient Temperature Decomposition

Once isolated, CO₂ undergoes a novel decomposition reaction at room temperature. Instead of storing it, the absorbed CO₂ is decomposed into graphitic carbon and oxygen.
This reaction is:

  • Energy Efficient
  • Modular and Scalable
  • Carbon-negative by design

4. Solid Carbon Collection

The resulting carbon is collected and ready for use in below mentioned industries initially:

  • Batteries
  • Water filtration
  • Pencil Industry
  • Agricultural materials

Meanwhile, the oxygen by product is cleanly released into the atmosphere.

A Modular, Scalable System

Each Trace Xero unit is containerized, allowing for:

  • Fast setup and relocation
  • Urban, rural, or remote deployment
  • Integration with factories or renewable plants

From one unit to a hundred, scale is a matter of stacking—not excavation.

Why This Matters

  • Climate Urgency: The world must remove over 10 Gt of CO₂ annually by 2050.
  • Systemic Bottlenecks: Current technologies face cost, energy, and land barriers.
  • Trace Xero’s Advantage: A portable, low-cost, circular solution that works anywhere.
